Discovery contracted FuseBox to build an internal web application called BeYou – a gamified platform that empowers call center agents and managers at every level to view their stats and reports. This platform provides a feedback loop to agents to track their progress against their targets and provides robust reporting tools for managers to track their teams seamlessly.
Discovery has one of the largest call centers in South Africa, and as such the volume of data which they generate is immense. This data is required in order to properly manage and reward their call center staff. The winning formula in BeYou is derived in its gamification element – the system automatically sets up challenges between agents to meet their respective targets, and a leaderboard is published with the results. Over the years, BeYou has evolved into a multi-purpose tool that has a growing footprint within Discovery, allowing users to access more and more relevant reports and metrics, whilst maintaining a fun, social, and healthy competitive element that is key to their core philosophy.
